Your civilization is built on abominations. Your galaxy is polluted.
We have come to cleanse it. It is our destiny."
— Warmaster Tsavong Lah
→ A • GROUND ZERO
Belkadan, a forested planet in the Outer Rim, is the site of an ExGal-4 listening post, set up to monitor space for signs of extragalactic activity. You're among the scientists and workers stationed there, or perhaps you're delivering supplies, or you've just wandered so far out the edge of the known galaxy; in any case, you are completely unaware that one of the inhabitants of the facility, Yomin Carr, is a Yuuzhan Vong infiltrator sent as an advance agent to prepare the way for his species' imminent invasion.
The beetles he's released into the forest have started emitting noxious fumes, converting the atmosphere to a mix of carbon dioxide, methane and sulfur that kills or mutates all wildlife on the planet. Looks like it's time to run — but he's neither letting you get off-planet nor allowing you to call out for help. He's disabled communications, sabotaged ships and other modes of transportation, and he's even outright chasing and murdering everyone left in the building. Whoops.
→ B • HAIL THE GODDESS
Meanwhile, on Sernpidal, something strange is going on. One of its moons is abnormally close — and is moving closer and closer — but nobody else on the planet seems to think it unusual, chalking it up to the ongoing religious festival that celebrates the coming of their goddess. If you're nosy enough, you'll eventually find out that there's a creature holed deep in a crater outside the city center that's pulling the moon into the planet in a spiraling orbit.
Time until impact? Less than seven hours.
→ C • THE ENEMY WALKS AMONG US
The Yuuzhan Vong have been sending scouts all over the galaxy for years, learning about their enemies and their enemies' technology, neutralizing threats, manipulating governments — all to prepare for the arrival of their invasion force at Vector Prime. They're tall, muscular and humanlike, but they have sloping foreheads and are horribly scarred and disfigured (it's a religious thing, don't ask) that they have to use ooglith masquers and cloakers to disguise themselves accordingly. Who's to say your weird cousin or next door neighbor isn't actually an infiltrator?
→ D • NONE OF MY BUSINESS
The wildcard option. You're doing your own thing, wherever you are. So what if the galaxy's at the brink of being invaded by extragalactic aliens with a religious fanaticism and a thirst for war, who glorify pain to the point of masochism, who view mechanical technology as blasphemy, and who can't be sensed in the Force? You have your own troubles to worry about.
Β» Belkadan
She's well-rested enough for that night's shift, but there's a certain tiredness that resonates from her. Three years ago, she'd come to Belkadan brimming with excitement and wide-eyed wonder, eager for the chance to discover something the galaxy has never yet before seen.
It's been three years of nothing but silence. At least, from beyond the edges of space. Belkadan itself, though, is a flurry of activity, the forest surrounding their facility teeming with life. In fact, during their first year, a redcrested cougar had leapt over the wall from a nearby tree, seriously injuring two of her companions; she'd managed to kill the creature, but the damage had been done.
She misses the old days.

Β» Sernpidal
Around them, people of various species are rushing to and fro with little to no organization. A group of locals β white-skinned men with red eyes, wearing the traditional red-striped white robes with huge hoods β are running about, pointing to the sky and shouting "Tosi-karu!" repeatedly.
He frowns as he exits the ship. He might not be as attuned to the Force as his younger sister, Tarislyn, but something's definitely not right here. Even if he can't distinctly identify the fear and the strange, almost fanatic sense of hope boiling in the currents of the Force, his instincts are already screaming that they shouldn't have come here.
But Sernpidal had been their mother's last known location.
"Tosi-karu!" comes another great cry, rolling down the street, at least a hundred voices joined as one. "Tosi-karu!"

Β» Elicoor II
Unable to keep herself still, Maria's taken to helping with the more technological aspects of the recovery effort. But the mechamen in particular have piqued her interest, hence the ad she's posted, hoping to somehow find more information.
For there might be a greater problem here, far worse than the Elicoorians realize. Greeton had been a secret Federation outpost, after all; who's to say there won't be any more surprises in the future?

Β» The Wall
But to get to King's Landing, they have to stop by Castle Black first and let one of the Watchmen fly them through the dangerous asteroid belt and to the planetary capital. Protocol aside β and she can't help rolling her eyes at the how isolationist the Westerosi truly are β Leia's sending their pilot Joph ahead to Hosnian Prime for reasons Jane's not privy to. More for her to get worked up about, then.
Thankfully, stopping by the Wall meant there's a chance for her to see an old friend, and while the thought brings a smile to her face as she steps out of the Mirrorbright behind her mother, she can't help feeling nervous, either. How long has it been since she's seen Jon last? Three, four years? Long enough for him to probably be surprised at her growth spurt and how much more ladylike she has become with her job as a Senator's intern; there have been some photos of her in the HoloNet news, sure, but it's another thing entirely to see her tower over the famous Princess Leia.

Β» Pentos
But the trip to King's Landing had been an absolute disaster. There had been an attack, someone had died, and then she was separated from her mother and they'd stolen a ship only for it to be gunned down by pursuing enemy craft and Jonβ
She sits up, something jolting her awake, but the motion is so sudden that pain slams into her like a raging tide, and she hisses sharply as she holds out against it. The thoughts she's been trying to hold on to, details of what had just transpired in the heart of Westeros, are washed away; the pain leaves her reeling inside and out, her mind frantically grasping for fragments of memory, her body shuddering as it fights to survive.
Breathe, she wills herself, and for a moment that's all she can do. It doesn't occur to her that she's now alone; her escape pod's lying on the sand several meters away, gentle sea waves crashing into it almost rhythmically, and her lightsaber's nowhere to be found. ]
